I have only fished the beat a few times but what I have been told is that the fish don't hang around long in any of the pools. The greenbank I take it that it's called the home stream as well yes it is a lovely run around the croys/stones on the far bank looks fishy.Peg legs is an akward one to fish. Was told the Cut is worth giving a good couple of runs through.

Greenbank is the lower part of Home Stream, I think.
I'd agree that Peg Legs is hard to fish well with the fly, but it looks very deep and must hold fish.
Some nice water off both banks, with some good ambush points for running fish. Just wish I had a few days in May booked!

Elwyman yes Peg leg is a deep powerful run 2 syndicate rods were fishing it yesterday with the floating devon and would think this would be the best line of attack on that pool. Was your mate fishing the left bank on Moulinearn when he lost his fish?I was fishing it of the left bank on saturday and was struggling with the deep water close in as I reached the second burn.

Steve was fishing Moulinearn from the left right bank, and the fish took about 10 yards below the mouth of the top burn. Nice spot to fish, the current pulled the fly round nicely.
I see that 135 fish had gone up the ladder on Saturday.
Edit: I meant the right bank.

Well done John. Glad I saved you from a soaking.
Just returned from a week sunbathing on the Lochy so I know how hard it was.

Thanks again Jock.
Yes, conditions were far from ideal last week - my daughter doesn't believe I got my sun tan from fishing in Scotland!

Apologies for the poor quality of the photo off my old camera phone, but this was the fish I caught on the Tummel in mid-April: I bought a decent camera phone yesterday, so I'll probably blank for the rest of the season. ;D
