Hi,
I'm thinking of buying the IG Intermediate #11/12.
My question is is it better to go for the 62' or the 75' ? If the 75' line needs to be rolled to the surface before casting then I would normally pull in a few feet of belly into the rod rings before rolling (75' may be too much to roll). This would mean that the 75' is actually being used more or less as a 62'.
Can the 75' Intermediate be lifted and cast without rolling to the surface (using a 15' rod), even with deep wading and a heavy fly attached ?
I normally cast long-belly floaters so length is not a concern.
cheers,
Tam

No you will till need to roll it to the top. Go for the 65ft head line if using a 15ft rod. Ian Gordon uses the 65ft head on a 15ft rod.
