Loop CLW salmon reel

Hi

Thought you might like a bit of feedback on this reel.

Upsides:-
Cheap at ~£75, looks great, extremely light, nice drag, silent check, fast retrieve and plenty of capacity

Downsides:-
Reel seat looks weak and knocked it on a stone on the Welsh Dee and dinked off the handle, breaking the handle clean off the spool.

Overall:-
Love Loop reels but aluminium bar stock is better than graphite every time (if you can afford it)

Gentlemen, I hope that you know the Loop Reels are in no way connected to Danielsson Fly-Reels

Perhaps I was just unlucky (I am a clumsy so-and-so after all)!

Dear Salmonfly - whats the story between Loop and Danielsson, arent the designs the same but the company's parted and now Loop are built outside Sweden or something?

JJ, Danielsson reels and loop reels are two difference beasts, Danielsson reels as you now know them are the old loop reels.
Loop now makes a new kind of reel but these reels still look like the Danielsson reels.
The difference is as you now know is the quality of the reel and the drag of the reel is also difference, I hope that this helps.
