Has anyone out there used a Loop Blue Line 13'2" rod and if so what are there opinions on it. I am looking at getting a 12 or 13' rod this year to add to the collection and have been offered one of these new at a reasonable price. I am looking at a 9/10# rating so that I don't have to go out and buy any more lines as I already have more lines than I have spare spools and reels.

Sorry not to answer the question, but have you considered the shakespeare oracle IV? I have several friends who say that the 13 and 14ft versions are even better than the 15ft, and they are all rated for 10wt lines..
I fish a greyline fifteen footer and a greenline 12ft #8,but I have heard less complimentary feedback on the blueline. If you do get one, check fishtec as they had some bluelines very cheap indeed recently. Cheers, Simon

I've only tried and 14ft and wasn't that impressed. For the money you can buy better. Thereagain rods are a personal thing and some might like the Blueline range.
It felt as if it lacked a bit of backbone though.

Hi Wilbert
I had a Blueline 12'6" #8 which I thought was the bee's knees, until I got a 13' Guideline LPXe. The latter is rated 8/9, but I use Hardy Mach1 9/10 lines on it and it is perfect.

Any more rods that I should consider? Will consider any rod 12 to 13' in 9/10# that is sub £200 as it won't get that much use just the odd day here and there.

Think I might just go and get the oracle as I cant go too far wrong for the price, lets see if this rod is better than my previous experience with Shakespeare rods, if its doesn't break then it will be 100% better than any previous Shakespeare rod I have owned. Will order it off Frank too as his advertising helps to keep the site going.

Shakespeare have always had an excellent reputation for customer service.
I have today rang them with a small problem and was astonished at what they have done for me..

Wilbert you are asking for a world of trouble if you get a blue line. The blanks on these rods explodes very easily and it has no back bone in the wind.

A few years ago I had a brief test-session with the Loop-blueline, but I did not like it at all.... Lacking any backbone and stiffnes, well, sort of wet spagghetti.... there are much better rods for less money.... even consider the Visions? Like them more than the Loop... Hans.
