Be careful with the Innovation Pro. From memory there were 2 models.....old and new. The new ones had black blanks and as Springer said they are good rods for the money. The older models have a greyish blank with wine coloured whipping and aren't as good....by a margin.

The season is coming to an end, why don't you wait and try as many rods as you can. There are always bargains to be had in the tackle trade.
I picked up a brand new 14' rod recently for £40. A ghillie friend of mine said it will be c*** at that price. He tried it out last week when we were fishing together. After using it and casting the full 40yds he is away to buy one. The rod was the 4piece oracle and they come between 12' and 15' Now I was lucky I have yet to see them at that price again, but you can still pick them up for around the £60 But it is only a bargain if it suits your casting.

i have been fishing the double hander two years self taught from watching other anglers etc. can put out a line don't get me wrong but if water is low its a relief to get the the 10ft orvis out. I'm at that stage where start want longer distance which really needs good technique to pull it off! think i will ask few good casters to see what damage they can do with my set ups. get a few lessons and keep my grubby mitts away from the dirty spinning rod
