I know this is a long shot, but, does anybody know where I can get spare parts for the Ryobi 455 Fly reel? In particular, I am looking for the spring for the rim tension regulator.

Betanut,
Thanks for that. I picked up a Ryobi 455 and two spare spools for £30, but noticed that the spring is made of nylon/plastic and has started to split. It's not a huge deal if I can't get a spare, as I only wanted the reel as a back-up and for grilse fishing in smaller rivers. However, it would be nice to get a better spring fitted, just to give a bit of confidence. Your help is much appreciated.

Alan,
Thank you, I'll get a picture of it loaded up as soon as I can.

Alan, Managed to get a couple of pictures, but my close-up macro on the camera seems to be goosed. So I'll explain the important dimensions. You can see the split in the plastic There are two cylindrical tabs that insert into the metal part. These are at a centre to centre spacing of 15mm. The tabs are 3mm long and 2mm in diameter. I hope this makes sense If you do have anything that will fit, give me your address and I'll send you a few flies as a thank you Cheers, Gary
