Life jackets

Thought I'd better invest in one before I wade uncharted waters on the Tummel and Spey in April.

I've seen the usual England type, but has anyone tried these - the higher fitting might give easier access to jacket pockets?

i prefer the manual version as the automatic can be knocked and set of quite easy ,but there agin if your knocked unconsious you want it to go of

i have a parmaris life vest, i got it from glasgow angling centre, it is a high fit automatic with a pull cord as well, once you have it on you forget you are wearing it,and it does not restrict access to pockets at all. they cost about £60.
