What would you reccomend for a waist coat? I usually take 2 fly boxes, spare line , flask, leader, pieces and bits and bobs. Don't want to spend a fortune, say 50 quid max. My other waistcoat is knackered. Cheers

Save your money I've never worn one - never will. I have small hooded-jacket with a deep front pocket and have a rucksack for bits and pieces.

i'm thinking more about the summer. Hate lugging about with my jacket on or having to keep going back to the bank for a new fly or whatever. Got a wee cheap waistcoat last year and it made life much easier

Springer,
I'm not sure what size i am! All the ones i looked at are either large medium or small. I guess i'm a large then (no comments please...). I'm 6foot 1 average build if that helps! Cheers

I recently got a really good deal on ebay via America for a Fidhpond Wasatch Tech Pack. It worked out about £80 including postage. Its very well designed although I have yet to use it in anger. It has an integral ruck sack and rod holder and plenty of zip pockets together with two "fly benches". It is very comfortable to wear
