Does anyone know of any place to get these hooks at a decent price,local tackle shop wants 6.50 for 10?

Hugo will be doing some booming business as he is very good on price for hooks.
Postage is usually cheaper if you phone an order through, rather than using the internet site which charges £5 min.

I bought a packet of Salar hooks from the Glasgow Angling Centre recently. The front of the packet says 'FINEST HANDMADE BRITISH FISH HOOKS' the back of the packet says 'MADE IN SINGAPORE' !!! I am not really bothered where they are made, but can they do this ?? Incidently they are £6.50 in the GAC, with is a bit steep.

I was willing to shell out 50 quid on bulk Salars last month but couldn't find one supplier willing to give me a bulk order.. Think there was problems with supply I think it's a good idea though

I wonder what kind of deal on hooks we could get if we bought in bulk and split them amongst ourselves? I would be happy to spend £30 or more at one time, multiply that by 10 or 20 members and someone will take us very seriously. Just a thought I'm up for that  |

This is where the arguing starts! I wouldn't mind some of the smaller salar sizes myself for summer patterns but i'm sure we could work this out. I can't participate for a few weeks yet (just got my new rod) but i'm definitly in if it happens/and you're willing to wait. Have to agree what to put in though.
