The basic full floating line which has a 68ft head, 58 ft running line, looped at both ends with the black head marker on it will be available very shortly at £40. This line is the basic line from the Multi-Sytem. Theyre are no tips with it. It offers 1 of the 12 fishing options that the Multi-System provides. It's a great basic full floater that will turn over polyleaders easily if required. The unboxed ones marketed on Ebay at £25 were only to incentivise people to see the quality of the basic line with a view to then considering the Multi-System product. The 8 tips that come with the Multi-System are actual braided core tips. They are very different in quality from the basic mono-core polyleaders that Airflo make. Tight Lines & Best Regards Jock

Can you buy a monteith line with a 53ft head? I dont know much about these lines but i would prefer a shorter head. I had an ian gordon(65ft head) and i am now using a windcutter(54ft head) and i find it a lot better but i am now wanting a multi tip line.
thanks

Hello Cyde-rod The shortest fishing head length on the Monteith Multi System is 63ft. However this total head length includes a choice of 4 different 10ft tips from full floating through to extra fast. If you were fishing with the Ian Gordon short head (65ft) and adding a 10ft tip/polyleader then obviously it would then measure up at 75ft. You should try the line out from the Line Pool and see how it performs at 63ft. I am sure you would find it a very easy head length to fish with Regards & Tight Lines Jock

I been out 4 times in the last couple of weeks, just a couple of hours each time, and I am delighted with the Monteith tips line. - It's supple and memory free
- The tips turn over well, no hinging at line joints
- The tips come with ready made loops each end - they are quite small and don't jam in the rod rings
- Speycasts and overhead casts well
- The line marker is very easy to see.
- It is by far the nicest line I have come across
I honestly don't see me using another line this season, it's so versatile, and so much better than the Rio tips I've tried. Obviously designed by somebody who knows what he's doing - well done Jock!

I used my new Mentieth line for the first time this week and found it a dream to fish with. Was previously using an old midspey and found the difference to be great, I was using the 15ft type 3 tip and hardly noticed it. Even better I landed a fish on it so it definately passed all tests in my eyes.
Will take time to try out all the combinations and most likely I never will but I can see it managing very well with all the fishing I do. Only for a full floater do I see myself straying away from it and sticking with my Carron.
The line has been well recommended on these forums and I can happily add my approval.
Try before you by but I suspect you will be very happy with it.
