Where did you hear that from? I'd be surprised if this is the case as they have just added 18 footers to the range this year.

Looks like I've misunderstood a dealers ad (fishtec). They have them listed in their discontinued range ,however, the other brands/models in this list are certainly discontinued stock .Perhaps in the case of the IG range FT mean discontinued by them? I hear there are 2 18ft rods in the range anyone know what the difference between the 2 rods are?

One has a fast action and weighs 405 grms and the other has a medium action and weighs 412 grms. Both 4 piece and take 11/12 lines at ideal head weights of 54grms.
