Looks good from the clip, some great casts to learn and some bloody awful ones too. Dont think anyone fishing a pool after you have been doing a wombat cast would appreciate it, the skagit cast looks messy too. Going to have to practice the turbo spey with the single hand rod, that line flies out. The spiral spey looks pretty good and will need to be learned.
I couldn't help but notice how low their rods were when doing the sweep for both single and double spey, I know this can help with the double spey but it must make it hard work to created a good "D" on the single spey. Anyway they are the experts and not me so I guess I will shut up and take note of what they have to say.

Many thanks for that Springer. It will be interesting to compare this with Simon Gawesworth's original 'International Speycasting' video.

I can order some if anyone is interested as I have an account with Guide.
£29.95 and post free. If ordering one elsewhere make sure you ask for the Modern Spey casting dvd or you might get the old one.

watched the trailer and my first thoughts were that some of these casts seem uneccesarily complicated. Can anyone tell me what a wombat cast could be used for?

It all looks very impressive to me,but is there any vids that show a relative novice how to cast in a howling gale, driving sleet with numb fingers?
Cheers

No
That one comes with experience and if Mr Ritchie does not stay on you know it is a lost cause.

I have watced most of the 3hrs and have to say it is awesome. Of course I will have to buy a laptop so I can play it on the riverbank to watch whilst I learn those different casts !!!
