Broke the middle section of my B/w 15' 10/11 speycaster earlier this year, lengthening the fly line at the time and it just broke. Never realy licked the rod as it didnt seem to suite my casting style, always thought it to powerful for me. took the rod down to the factory and was introduced to Brian who I think runs the show. after explaining what had happened to the rod and the fact that I couldnt get on with it, he let me try 15 and 16' 9/10 speycaster which is quite a different rod and one I liked from the off, After coffee and biscuits, I came home with the 16' 9/10 for a very very modest ammount of money. Went to try the rod on the R.Trent this evening. Snowbee 10/11 3D floater + 16' 9/10 Norway speycaster, what a brilliant set-up, casts all the line and several yds. of backing. Not sure where else you could get this kind of help and consideration in this day and age and found both Brian and his wife very friendly and only to willing to help in any way they could.

Hi Lamson, the rod that broke was the 15' Nor.speycaster 10/11. The line used with this rod was a Hardy distance spey line 11 weight, just a tad light, Its not my intension to knock the rod, my son used it on odd occasions coupled with an Airflow Delta long spey ( about 80' head i think ) and he could make it fly, it was just quite hard work for me, the more gentle action of the Nor. 16' 9/10 speycaster seems to blend in with my style of casting and I could'nt be more pleased with the set up i now have. The 10/11 3D Snowbee spey line was to light for the Nor. speycaster 15' 10/11, but perfect for the 16' 9/10 Nor. speycaster, regards.
