i find it hard to believe that out of the 468 members on this forum not one has as yet posted a picture of themselves catching a fresh FISH, or even a friends FISH for that matter

Probably because 450 haven't wet a line yet and of the 18 who have, they may only have caught 1 or 2 and not taken any photos.

It's still very early and there are probably less fish than anglers on some rivers!

Nice kelt any fresh ones yet? Well it must have been a sealiced kelt, rare, a first for me.

I do apologise Willie, maybe its as you say the quality of the photo, just looked like a skinny well mended kelt, not the solid fish one usually associates with a springer.

Sloggi,
Stracathro. The water level was perfect and the river looked the business on a fine Saturday morning. Tackling up i felt like i had a good chance of a fish.
Never saw any fish all day but did get a pull at the top of the Upper Dam. Two other guy's were fishing and each hooked and returned one kelt.
To be honest i think i was again probably a wee bit early. There was a report of two fish caught on the bottom beats. The beats above were fished but did not land any fish.
So let's hope March proves more productive.

A truly magnificant fish Jim, but why return it to the water? It's dead. Malcolm your gillie will tell you anything to get a decent tip. ;D
