I'm not so sure.....it could be but to me it just doesn't look quite right for Loch More at the head of the Thurso (mind you, I'm probably wrong ) how about Loch Badanloch at the head of the Helmsdale?

Seeing the picture I can't see any Rowan trees but I can see a bend, so hard to say which side named the pool correctly.

It looks very like the falls beat of the Kirkaig, but I seem to remember there were more trees...mind you, it's 25 years since I was last there - age, memory, tricks etc
