Guys, Is there any day ticket fishing on the Tyne?. It's my closest salmon river yet I have not fished it even though it is only 2 hours drive from home!. So far I have only heard about the Riverdale Hall fishing. Any other contacts and idea of costs would be appreciated. Thanks.

The pub at Falstone sells day tickets for the North Tyne. I believe the pub is called the Blackcock Inn.

Quite a few day tickets available:
Main River: Wylam Angling Club, Northumbrian Anglers Federation, Bywell Syndicate, Tyne Green
South Tyne: Haltwhistle, Alston a c's
North Tyne: Chesters, Redeswood, Newton, Tarset (All available through Riverdale), The fishing at Falstone mentioned above, i think the Forest Council or something do tickets too.

Thanks for the information. The link to the web site is a good one with lots of phone numbers, cheers leo.
Are there any areas that are known to be better for the fly? Has anyone fished a Tyne or North Tyne day ticket water?
