Adding to Rob's comment, why do not more fisheries put themselves onto such sites as Fishtweed? Indeed, why does not the riparian ownership of, say, the Cumbrian Eden join up too??

Pay 60p a minute and you can get a recorded message to listen to when you call the river line, only updated once every 24 hrs as far as I know, yes its crap and we need and deserve something better but the EA are far too busy wasting 100K encouraging people from ethnic backgrounds to fish to set up anything like what is available in Scotland. I am only a good job offer or a lottery win from moving over the border.

Indeed, why does not the riparian ownership of, say, the Cumbrian Eden join up too?? because its under licence and so costs money to join i suspect - the owner has to balance cost of joining against any projected returns - its a long way from free;
