there was relatively little angling pressure until the last couple of weeks when more visitors started to arrive, the water was extremely cold in the spring, so few folk ventured out, only the daft ones like myself had a cast!

I will be heading upto Speyside in september for a few days although the best of the fishing is over by then (apart from on the lower river). Loads of fish around but there minds are on other things.
I'm also hoping to get up there in July, just waiting to confirm the leave with work.

:(Beware there are not many fresh fish about after July!! TIP- when Wimbledon is on its speytime Salmon or Sea trout. and between 1&2ft above summer level and dropping just above the the 1 Ft mark is perfect! it can be busy but fishing unsociable hours there can be great sport to be had.
