theyr.net used to be one of the best but they have gone subscription only i see, anything over 24 hours is just a best guess anyway.

Good starting places for weather info are www.greatweather.co.ukfor general stuff, and www.winterhighland.info/weather/for those of us desperate to know about snow melt on the Dee and Spey. For short-term rainfall prediction, the BBC site is quite good www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/rain.shtmlThis shows where rain has fallen (from radar images) plus predictions for the next day and a half. You can zoom in on specific regions to get reasonable accuracy. For three-day rainfall modelling I have found the following to be good although it is less penetrable: pages.unibas.ch/geo/mcr/3d/meteo/There are two models (called ETA and NMM) - click on the top two white blobs under Maps on the table in the top banner - then on the next page click on ALL opposite 3 hr precipitation. Metcheck is not reliable beyond a couple of days in my experience although it can be useful for fuelling optimism ahead of a trip! Mark

Looks like it is rain, rain and more rain for the Borders until about Thursday, then it may rain again shortly after it has stopped. No catches so far on fishtweed website for today.
