Noticed that the catches on the big east coast rivers have plumetted thursday friday what is the reason anybody?

Thought the Dee would have faired better today though with it usually clearing very quickly.
unsettled river = unsettled fish (perhaps)

At Dinnet the Dee was rising this evening and fairly coloured - it's been a tad damp over the last 24 hours up in the hills. Fair this eveing so I'd imagine next weeks rods should do well if the rain stays off.......

On Wednesday night when I left,the Tay level at Kercock was 12", next morning it was 1ft9" and kept rising all day to 3ft 4"Pretty much all beats had stopped fishing from Islamouth downstream.Yesterdays level began at 2ft 9" and was dropping very slowly but was VERY peaty coloured and will be today again (Sat)
