I suddenly appear to have developed a very strong desire to fish The River Spey ! What do you have to do to fish this beat ? Dead men's shoes ?

James, thanks a lot! You have just wrecked my week stuck in the office with some superb photos that have transported me to where my heart really wants to be, work is now suffering, badly!! Seriously though, great report and pics. Obviously the casting practice at Kelso paid off!

Well done, and what a glorious looking beat.
Just remind me, those large silver things are called salmon aren't they?

James
Cracking photo's of a cracking beat.
There's something very special about the whole 'Carron experience' even though my week ended fishless and was spent trying to avoid the green rabbit food master chef Newbould kept serving up.

Great pics, will have to put the beat on my "would like to fish but probably can't afford" list in the mean time I will have to settle with my local river, thats if it ever stops raining and it drops to a fishable level.
