Fished Lower Eden today. Great conditions and a lovely fly beat. Saw lots of fish- many 10lb plus. I lost one of about 10lbs within 20 minutes of arriving. This was on a NessC fly beautifuly tied by Annan Angler and which was quickly snaffled by my companion Clive at the end of the day. If you fish Eden, get down soon before we have too much drought/rain

Any Members of the Forum know anything about the Lazonby Estate fishings? Would be keen to know, the syndicate I'm in now has some access to these waters.

I'm pretty sure there was an article about this beat in T&S earlier this year?

Hi Edenman, Up until a week or so, the fish were moving straight through the lower river, but now seem to have settled down, Where do you fish normally?

fish on c.a.a. the last week they have started to lie up and they are starting to drop back and fill the pools up. the runs of fish over the last 6 week have been unbelivable with very little caught . they have been motoring.

On Sunday I was on the opposite bank from the CAA at Grinsdale, "Coops" i think was the beat/pool i was fishing. Wish I could sneak down this week - sadly I have to be at work!

this next 6 weeks could be very special . when they cut the willows out on that side of the river they spoiled one of the best pools on the association.

Alright Stoater, your in for a treat mate but make sure you go in a vehicle that has reasonable clearance from the ground. The meadows beat is quite simply the best fly water I have ever seen and beat 1 has everything. Have a good time up there fella
