johnmac - I'm with graham on this one although robmason makes a valid point. If you get a 13' this time you have positioned yourself nicely between a 10' single hander and a 15' (for forays to larger rivers) if you go for these in the future. you can fill in the gaps in the future (don't worry you'll always find an excuse to buy another rod!) By the way always make sure the mail order shop has the goods in stock before you order - often they don't and you can have a long wait till they get them in. A phone call is the best way to order then you can confirm they have the item.

Can someone tell me what action the Oracle 13ft has...fast, medium fast...? Is it stiff or flexible? Thinking of getting a back-up small rod and this might do the job? Does it compare to any other rod?
Does the 15ft have a similar action?
cheers

Hmm.
unfortunately this reminds me of the woeful tale of a friends rod. Similar ebay situation (but no tyre mark), seemed an open and shut case, but after numerous letters etc, Royal Mail refused to pay up...
hope it works out Fenton
