Hi
We once chatted about a Salmon Fishing Forum beer and natter at the Scottish Game Fair, didnt we?
Who's going? What day and who fancies a pint of Magners and a doughnut?
It would be funny to see who I post to every week - face to a name and all that?
Who's been before? Was it good?
Where are we all watching Portugal win on saturday?!

Sadly, not me First Scone fair I haven't made in 5 years but it's my birthday on Friday so that day is out. Saturday I'm fishing then out for a meal and few "mild ales" with some pals so I'll be hung over on Sunday - so maybe next year I'll make the fair But I'll be thinking about it - was going to enter the Trout distance casting comp this year - Salmon distance I'm not happy with at the mo, lack of time on water Have fun all who are going tho - better than fitba ;D

Well i didn't mae it to the Game Fair this year.....Friday was wet and miserable...... Saturday was a belter and all of those that went today hopefully didn't get fooled by the early sun and took waterproofs, failing that the day would have been spent hiding in the beer tent!!

Aye nae very dry today.
To make matters worse it rained all the way back up to Aberdeen only to find that Turriff had missed most of it.!!
Looks like the Deveron might miss out on a much needed freshen up - again.

What was the Salmon Distance for Saturday?
Had a go myself but the wind made it very tricky and frustrating ....only managed 41,40,38.

Well done to one and all! In particular to Blair Banks, a thoroughly nice fella we met on the old Spey Bridge earlier this year - great to see someone you've met win something! All I need to do know is learn to cast properly myself!
We had a great day on saturday when it was blazing hot. The wind made the casting tuition off the pontoons very difficult as it was blowing into our faces (excuses again).
My wife and I really enjoyed the day and watching extra-time at the Wheel in Scone and facing a barrage of 'England's going home' hardly took the edge off a great weekend. England got what they richly deserved and you cant complain at that.
Pity about the weather on sunday, we got the tent down just in time. A big thanks to the campsite across from the racecourse, that was great too.
Did the organisers feel satisfied in how the Fair went? I will definately go again - it was well-marshalled, loads of bargains and the food was magic. Magners cider, frozen yoghurts, angus aberdeen rolls and a game pie! Pukka!

Well done boy's, once again made a big impact on the competition scene. It's great to see the young Blair Banks doing so well. Youth development is so important in our sport and should not be overlooked even at a competative level!! well done blair!! Gordon
