Does anyone have any comments on the hotels on the Tay. I am hoping to finalize my bookings for July and have booked into Aelean Chraggan ...

Buzzer...I noted that you have booked Kercock to fish. Perhaps Dennis could give you a recommendation. I have stayed in the Tayside in Stanley before and i found it to be fine with good food.

You could try the Anglers at Guild Town, about 15 mins away from Kercock and you get to cross the river at Isla mouth on the way there in the morning, its not too grand just fine for an angler, grub is ok too when I stayed there it had a good reputation for good bar food.Ballathie and Stanley are probably a bit nearer but likely to be a bit heavier on the wallet.
