Guys
Pond321 and myself are planning a last shot for the salmon this year around mid October and were thinking of staying at my folks in Glasgow and travelling to one of the east coast rivers to fish a weekend.
Was thinking of the South Esk (Fortesk beat) - is there anything else within 1.5hrs of Glasgow which for £75 or less a day you'd recommend as potentially better?
Cheers
Bri

The annan....The esk is 25 mins from me the annan a 2.5hr drive and the annan will win every time. As a bonus it will also be half the price of the esk. I fished the fortesk beat for sea trout for a year or 2 and whilst it does have a half decent back end run you need water. If you can get on cleughhead or hoddom you will be in with a great chance of fish and a decent size as well. www.fishannan.co.uk
