Robert
Sounds like a great weekend.
Andrew is the best instructor I have come across and it has been a joy to cast with over the last few years.
This would be a good weekend for casters of all abilities wanting to improve their casting and fishing skills.

Hi Greenbanks,
Speaking for myself though considering things I might be biased, we had a great time.
The demonstration given by Andrew Toft on the first morning was absolutely astounding, Spey casting at its most stylish and polished in my opinion and with total economy of effort. No wonder we call him Mr Style in Ireland.
We had thirteen people on the first day and eleven on the second day. The heavens opened on the first day after about two hours and some people scurried off to buy new wading jackets among other things. It was heavy persistent rain for the rest of the day. After the course some fished that evening in the rising water, two caught on the fly several lost. Plenty of fish on the lower part of the beat, some also showing in the morning as Andrew gave his demo, obviously seeing if they were in any danger.
The next morning due to a massive approx 2.5ft rise - big for the lower Moy and on top of already high water we went down the estuary as wading and casting would have been impossible on the Fishery.
Funny enough on my demos over the weekend my Turas 15ft rod actually loaded quite beautifully with a Carron Jetstream 10/11 Spey line and then unloaded on the stop, casting a line right across the Moy on occasion with reasonably tight V loops and fly turnover even - and even if I do say so myself.
Of course one would want to do these things on a Spey casting demo and use an appropriate rod for the job. Thats exactly why I used the Turas 15ft, one of my absolute favourites. No doubt because I had an input in its design. It worked very well for others too, worked well for me all year on the Dee, Spey and throughout Ireland. Course I havent cast the 14 ft one yet but soon will.
From my feedback here everyone enjoyed Andrew Toft nd could not speak highly enough of him as a person and of his casting ability.
We'll probably do something again next season.
Thanks for asking Greenbanks.
Hope all is well with you.
