I recently obtained the Ally Gowans "Spey casting made easy" DVD. It's well worth a watch but i've seen it about 3 times now. I wonder if anyone fancies swapping it for any other salmon instructional/tying/fishing videos they might have, say for a week or so. It'll have to be fairly well establised members though for obvious reasons. We can work out security (such as leaving details with admin etc) if anyone fancies it. Cheers

I have a spey casting DVD of unknown origin! . I'll happily donate a copy of that to the pool on a "permanent loan". Let me know where to send it if interested. Cheers, Dan

IMO the best casting DVD on the market is the new Rio one called Rio's Modern Speycasting. It covers all the casts that a salmon angler needs for all situations. It's a triple DVD and I cannot see this being bettered. The instructors are Simon Gainsworth, George Cook, Mike McCune Scott O' Donnell, Ed Ward and Dana Sturn. A must have. Granters if you read this can you PM me?

My sincere apologies. Last thing I want is to get this site into bother. Post modified to avoid future embarrassment.

Furthermore, in a feeble attempt to make amends for my previous bad behaviour, I have just PURCHASED a couple of items (both absolutely above board), there's a first time for everything, which I will watch and then add to the list of dvds in the pool. There's "Salmon on the fly" by Gwilym Hughes and a triple box set with Arthur Oglesby, I don't think this one is salmon specific but does have some stuff about springers on the spey and autumn on the tweed. Cheers, Dan.

Got the dvds through the post, the salmon one with Gwilym Hughes is great, the box set however is a bit like one of those 70s educational films that showed the viewer round a steelworks in Sheffield or suchlike ;D. It's worth a watch just for a laugh. Let me know where to send them if we're to get this thing up and running. Dan.
