Gentlemen - never in my wildest dreams did I realise the extent of the beast I was about to unleash in authoring this thread . To a man you have all excelled yourselves to the point where I feel compelled to offer a prize for, ultimately, the best (or worst) example. Being the democracy that this forum is famed for I am willing to accept shortlisted suggestions for the 'winner'. The only provisos being that you cannot vote for yourself and that you are allowed only one vote for one member for one 'title'. Ultimate winner to be decided by me and the adjudicating panel consisting of myself the doag and the missus ! The prize will be a nights seatrout fishing on a nice middle beat of the South Esk (Brechin area) during prime time namely the second half of June / first half of July. I myself will act as personal ghillie for the talented recipient. Exact details to be arranged closer to the time. Nominations will be accepted up to June 1st after which the judging panel would hope to make its final decision. In know way wishing to influence nominations my personal favourites so far include - PAT : Tuna In Your Hands - T'Pau Hardys Night - Beatles Pretty Woman - Roy Orvis Lets Net Together - Bryan Ferry SPLASH - Casting In The Dark - Bruce Springbeam SHOCKER - Cod Save The Queen - Pistols (welcome to the forum) IBM 59 - Stranger On The Shore - Knackered Welk RENNIE - Motor Pikein - Chris Spedding HORNET - Crab To Life - Sole To Sole ;D Don't You Forget To Mend Me - Simple Lines Treble Yell - Ghillie Idol CLag - Must try harder Remember - the ultimate choice of nominations will be the choice of the people. Yours aye - STip

While driving back down from the Malt Whisky Canyon last night my radio lost signal around Drumochter and retuned to Fish FM. Here I heard some long forgotten songs;
Lou Reed - Take a Whelk on the wild side Mike Oldfield - Tubes-you-like-well. Alvin Starfish - My jellyfish mind
There was the flip side of the song mentioned before by Elton Prawn and Kiki Fish Dee - Don't go breaking my Arti Art.
There was a toe tapping moment when we had that Scottish favourite, Andy Stewart and the White Heather Chub - Dolphin where's your Trousers... And that anthem to shellfish by our own great Bard, Robbie Burns - A Clam's a Clam for all that...

STip its all very well but when I woke up this morning the first thing I heard was Elvis singing - are you Lamson tonight...! What can I do?
By the way was it only me or during that football match on Tuesday night could I hear some Liverpool fishermen singing "you'll never whelk alone"?
