Great link - I think that version came from the DVD "El Mocambo" - I was luky enough to see him in 1988 in Austin where I was living at the time.

You don't come across an SRV fan for years and then three come along at once.
Got into this stuff in the late 80's/early 90s (thats as precise as the remaining brain cells allow) thanks to an Edinburgh pub band called Mr Rhythm - lead guitarist Stevie Hay was an SRV nut and did a damn good cover of this, Tin Pan Alley, Pride and Joy and a few others
Hadn't heard this live version before - Thanks.

CD Hi Colliedog, Check this version of Pride and Joy out by Bonnie Rait - it comes from the SRV tribute album. I managed to buy the video on ebay and converted it to DVD. youtube.com/watch?v=tC96ekfolrE

Thanks Peter,
I got nothing useful done last night - went through most of the SRV vids I could find and then moved on to JJ Cale.
Also made me dig out all my SRV vinyl - only to discover the turntable on the stereo has expired.............
Probably just as well as I'm like a half shut knife this morning.
