There is a massive store there where you can buy anything from a boat to line.It caters for all kinds of Game sports and will take a full day to look round. However I did not find anything in the fly section suitable. There is a small shop in Orlando itself which after a 20 min taxi journey from international drive area on going into the shop there was 2 owners/ assistants and a friend of theres talking of recent sporting exploits.this place stocks sage etc and was like a mini john norris prices weren't as cheap as you see on web sites. However after 20 mins of being totally ignored and a distinct impression that I wasn't fit to grace there floorboards on turning to leave I was eventually approached and asked of my business, I as politely as there ignorance told them that I was going to buy a sage rod but after being totally ignored and feeling like something picked up on your shoes I just as politely told them what what they could do with there shop, whereupon humble appologies where conveyed and resentful customer service attempted. This did not appease my anger and I promptly walked out and then took about 1 hour trying to get back to holiday villa.I might now be biased towards this shop but I think it deserves it.During the whole of my fortnight holiday the people/owners of this shop where the only ones to display this attitude the rest of the people where unbelievably corteous and and helpful.Having said all that it might be under new ownership now if not stick to the big store and disney world. Appols for rattling on a bit but it still brings back vivid thoughts when i think of that shop. Regards have a great hol Skippersam.

Does anyone know of good tackle shops in Orlando going there in a few weeks and would like to take advantage of the weak dollar ;D If you take a trip down the coast , Economy Tackle of Sarasota is worth a visit. You will find that the Florida Tackle Shops specialise in salt water gear so if you want a specific item it is best to order it from the shop before you go. It's a few years since I was there but I ordered a Lee Wulff line from Economy Tackle and it was there in the shop ready for me to collect. Good service and I only paid when I collected the line.

if you have a rental car, as jim the fish said head for the coast, tampa has 4 large tackle stores, st petersburgh has several smaller stores and apolo beach has a small store, tampa is about the cheapest and a nice drive, if you stop at the bridges you can watch the guys fishing snook

The giant store is called Outdoor World, along Int Drive hooker right at the beltz mall. Can't miss it.
Massive selection of jigs and plugs and all other tackle you could think of. The fly section as mentioned is pretty small compared with everything else on offer.

The other thing you can do MK is order from Cabela's. If you pay a small premium they will deliver to your hotel on a defined day and I have always found them to be 100% reliable about this.
cheers
