Just had an e-mail from a chap who returned three grilse and lost four yesterday on the Findhorn.
If this is the start then the Spey should see them next week and the Deveron the next-- we have more than enough water so we will keep the fingers crossed.

And Chanonry Point,(named after footballer turned racehorse trainer Mick Channon I hope),sounds like a great place to have a weeks holiday for two.One spotting the other with a cocked .243 in his mitts.

Not neccessarily the environmental barometer I needed to hear about.
