Many thanks for your kind comments guys. The only thing wrong with catching salmon is that it's a bit like chinese food. Half an hour later, you want some more ;D. Can't wait to get back out to prove (to myself) that it wasn't just all down to luck. Dan. PS, I have never tasted such a beautiful piece of fish. Bloody good job the wife can cook.

Dan, There is always a touch of luck but if you keep learning from when you are out then it will eventually become skill, well thats what i keep telling myself. Help from guy's like DW is priceless and unfortunately we have lost some others who we would have benefited from if they had stayed and continued to support this forum. You can't beat the bug, Chicken fried rice , chips & curry sauce and a portion of mushrooms. Hornet

Cheers H, hopefully that's the case. I agree with your point about the forum but why not look at (and contribute to) both? It has been posted that many more helpful people would have been inclined to join this forum had it been a bit less riotous. I hope they join the other one and continue to help and support the novices (that's me) and the experts alike. I would have liked to see this forum being one big happy family but certain new members seem hell bent on destroying everything that we have all worked toward in just a few posts. Perhaps with better moderation and a bit of common sense it could have been "nipped in the bud" at the very start. No offence intended to the moderators, you were put in the unenviable position of sweeping up where Colin couldn't be arsed. You performed your allocated tasks impeccably (when asked to do so) but were not given the power or the "eyes and ears" that an administrator would have. Personally, I miss Graham's helpful wisdom and I miss Malcolm's spelling/grammar correction (and helpful wisdom before you cry foul WG). ;D And each to his own ( we all have an opinion), special fried rice, curry sauce, chips and fried noodles with (of course) prawn crackers. Is it just my local takeaway or does everyone's friendly neighbourhood chinaman walk backwards down the drive bowing while muttering "Fangaveymuch"?
