Tynespeycaster, Good to see another Tyne salmon angler on here. Where abouts in the Hexham area do you fish ? Hi tyneangler The Corbridge water, or Chaytor's water as it is sometimes referred to, and yourself?

Hi tyneangler The Corbridge water, or Chaytor's water as it is sometimes referred to, and yourself? I fish the main river just below Wylam at the top of the tidal water, below Bywell and at Tyne Green in Hexham. I also have access to two stretches of the South Tyne and a stretch on the North Tyne. Normally manage to fit in an odd day on Chesters now and again as well.

Hi Gordon Looks like a nice fly and from the sounds of it a successful one I saw the pix but just wanted to check the dressing, it is perl body then lilac floss and is it red rather than orange front hackle? cheers Easky

No probs with tieing some up. I have been charging the board members £2 per fly plus £1 postage. Send me a pm of what you want and we will take it from there.

Thats right. I have put a bit much pearl tinsel on that dressing. The original only covers quarter of the shank at the rear. If you have any try out some Jungle cock, it really finishes the fly off.

thanks Gordon, I will have to see if I can find some lilac floss as I haven't used it before! Is there lilac bucktail in the tail as well - that could be even more difficult to come by? Easky
