The Mill Pool is pretty good but not as good the one round the bend (don't know its name) or the pool further down at the suspension bridge.
Who owns the stretch down from the Mill Pool on the opposite bank from Fetternear?

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and totally new to salmon fishing but this upcoming season i think its time i started. I live in Inverurie so will be fishing the Don and the Urie. Does anyone have any tips to help me get started, flies, salomn lies ect.. Thanks, Jay You get around Jay Nice to see you here, lots of good advice here about the Don and salmon fishing as a whole. Have a look at the roving ticket (which I'm sure you'll be familiar with at Sloans) otherwise Fetternear and Manar would be my choices for you outside of the club waters. You'll learn plenty when you're on the water - no substitute for getting out and doing. Learning tactics, flies and lies etc etc all comes with time and patience. We'll work something out
