I'm a contracts manager for a civil engineering company .I,m usually wishing that the RE would P1ss off fishing and leave us in peace to get on with missing out half the reinforcement and as for surveyors don't even get me started ;D I thought contractors invented QA so the RE needn't check the rebar and could spend more time fishing ;D

pheasant plucker's son Ok, cooncil worker. The self esteem is low, but money and holidays, flexi time etc are good. Being in aberdeen, rods kept in the car for those long lazy lunchbreaks on the lower don ;D p.s. dont tell the taxpayer ;D

I'm a self employed mechanical engineer. Machining, fabrication, site work etc. My latest project is an aluminium line winder a-la Orvis design. Sure, it won't make me any money but it will look nice and enable me to erm...wind lines. I could probably knock up some gates for the prison. ;D Work hard at the plumbing 9nro, it'll pay dividends for you in the end mate. After meeting up with AA on the Annan yesterday, I think you'd do quite a good water bailiff job old boy.
