All we can do is to keep on trying. In the end, if we persevere, we have a chance. Remember it supposed to be government of the people by the people for the people. Only our indifference will allow things to be otherwise.
I attach below further supportive correspondence. I like to think that by keep chipping away we will make s difference. If we don't, we might as well sell our rods and take up canoing!!
Think on!!
All the best.

Dear Mr *.*,
I write to thank you for your e-mail to Rhodri Glyn Thomas regarding the Plunder of Welsh Fisheries.
Rhodri Glyn Thomas has forwarded your e-mail to me as I am his community officer. Rhodri has informed me that he completely supports the Federation of Clwyd Angling Clubs and anglers across Wales and we can assure you that if elected to the Assembly he will actively seek to ensure that in future the remit letter to the Environment Agency Wales includes all the requirements you have stated in your e-mail.
Rhodri and I would like to thank you for contacting us and we hope we will get the opportunity to help, assist and offer our support in the future. Rhodri is very happy for you to publish his viewpoint on the web.
Yours Sincerely
Manon Rees Swyddog Cymunedol / Community Officer Dwyrain Caerfyrddin a Dinefwr Adam Price AS - Rhodri Glyn Thomas AC

I'm not likely to fish in wales but am happy to lend my support.Feel free to PM a style letter/pertinent info and let me know where to send it.Professionally speaking my colleagues and I have had some success with the scottish parliament by adopting this kind of approach, altough i doubt that your assembly will respond to the threat of strike action from fishermen!Good luck

Windcutter,
You are most kind. We need all the support we can get. The big fear is complacency. It seems many anglers are willing to spend hours looking into rods, reel, where to fish and so on but are reluctant to spend a few minutes taking steps to encourage the Environment Agency and Welsh Assembly to protect our fish stocks.
Good on you and thanks. PM is on its way.
All the best
Highplains.

Well fellow campaigners, this thread has run its course as has this stage of the campaign. Over 400 hits, thanks to those that participated.
I will write and thank those AM's that showed support and let's hope they are as good as their word. The political climate following the elections means that if we gather all the support we can and keep on the pressure then we have a good chance of influencing things in future.
The report on the enforcement review is out soon so when we know the outcome, recommendations and so on, the next phase can begin.
We will make a difference.
Thanks to one and all for your support and for the efforts made to influence the protection of our fish and our fishing.
All the best and tight lines.
