Ok Gang Have decided to explore this site, and see what it's true potential is. So, due to a late requirement for a visit to China, I have a rod available on Thurs 22 and Fri 23 March at Stobhall -Tay with the boys (we have all the rods). Can take as a slot or possibly individualy. PM me if you think you can survive 24/48hrs in the company of The Don without being swishy swashyed out (Greenbanks/Colliedog explain). Cost for the fishing is nothing, other than ghillies' gratuity (so Notipping don't apply, and indeed please go and receive professional help for you have serious issues) but would prefer: 1. person who believes they can fish a bit and likes to take a bit of a walk on the wild side 2 someone who is happy to join and contribute to one of salmon fishing's most prodigious traveling syndicates/circuses (we currently have 33 members including some of the very best salmon fishers in the UK) We are staying at Scotland's best fishin' hotel (not in the free price, but fantastic value) - the Moorfield. Reckon you can walk the walk? Yours aye CLaG P.S For the candidate who is unsuccessful, and joins us, there are a couple of other opportunities this season in to die for venues

Superb and generous offer you make It would be safe to assume this stay at the Moorfield takes place sometime before they pull the plug on it,flatten it and build "bonnie wee hooses on the site " That I hear is in the offing

That's been the rumours for some time which Jane and Paul neither confirm nor deny. However, I think we can safely say between now an next week they will only have had enough time to knock down the outhooses so our beds are probably still safe Anyway, Friday rod has gone. Still one going for free next Thursday (22nd March) to a good home. It's a rod on the Upper Beat. You should note the next ten days arround and after the big spring tide is when Stobhall/Taymount usually fishes best in early spring; and for those who care to check out today's catches on Fish Tay it seems to be going in the right direction. Please send me a PM if you should like to join us. To clarify for the person who wrote and asked if I was doing this for money...yer 'avin a laugh intcha..this is purely a labour of love There is no hidden agenda, but normally you would pay the going rate for the fishing, just on this one the rod is going free. Always looking to widen the pool of guys. So this is a chance to see if there are people here who would enjoy fishing with us and vicky versey. If no one takes it up I'll just get it away through the usual gang. Yours aye CLaG

I would love to take you up on the very kind offer CLaG, but I've got three weeks of mayhem at work at the moment. Still, I hope you all, including the lucky substitutes, enjoy your fishing. I fished the upper beat of Stobhall last year and it definitely has some nice fly water For those on the forum that are available on the Thursday, you could do a lot worse than spending a day on Stobhall.

No worries Fruin. As things stand, I may well have a day or twa on the middle Dee in April, the Lochy in the Summer and the Thurso in late September. These will not be free, but are all excellent value - Will keep members posted.
Regards
CLaG

Who is as secretive as the STIG. Some say he's the half brother of Nigel Mansell. Some say he's the reason Friday nights precede Saturdays. Some say he casts a Collie like a man touched by the dark side. Well forum members We know him as the Don. And if he's about John McGinlay (Kincardine&Borrowstone) goes into hiding. ;D

Southpark K... yer at it again. The Don Juan is less a force of nature...but the nature of Speycasting itself...the force is with him..he is Obe Wan Don..and now he has bought a 14' Z-Axis light sabre the Dark Side of the Ghillie Casting Empire doesn't stand a chance.....oh err
A full report on the 14 Z-Axis will follow once we have established it swashes more than it swishes.
