Not sure where you're fishing, but I'd wait a few weeks yet.

Small flies and sink tip first off, light goes 1" silver stoat tube and intermediate through till 1 o clock then wet 2 and 2"+ tube through till first light, then back to small flies and sink tip into full daylight, pick up the Salmon rod for an hour then off home to a good kip, sounds good to me. For salmon at night, you're still too early in the year. Into late May and June, through to end of August just as its getting dark, too dark to see the line going out, fly size according to river height, big for big water, and small for low. Fish for an hour or two.
Bang it out and fish it slowly round. It can be very productive.

although two years running I caught a salmon at exactly the same spot on the South Esk at 1.00am in the pitch dark.....
I also hooked but ultimately lost what was almost certainly a salmon in the dark one September night on the North Esk..

Once had three in succesive casts once the light had well and truly gone on a Whitewing on Tweed at the back end in November-we landed the last one of 16lbs at 6pm!
All taken on the first draw.
