I ordered a new orvis fly rod, they said delivery in 7 days
phoned 8 days later
out of stock
why didnt they say this when ordering, this has happened to me numerous times with this same shop. I will not be buying from them again

Hmm, lets narrow this down.
Would it by any chance in the west of scotland?
Hot or cold?
I too have experience of what is probably the worst mail order service in the world. ie you order, get nothing and have to chase them up twice.

Sportsmail used to be the exact same. I stopped using them years ago. I still use the GAC sometimes, but not for mail order, as I live close enough to it.

it can,t be your accent because 1 or 2 of the staff can only just string a sentence together.
I gave my order a couple of weeks once before I phoned to chase it up only to be told my order was not a priority .
I avoid using Gac these days even if they,re cheaper, I,d rather pay more and get good service than go back to that.

Flee, Given your location in Berwick its good to see you gannin' leurcal,as they would say.  You of all folks can avoid the megastores and mailorder. Gamefish Edinburgh,Forrests,Tweedside Tackiel,Weldon Gun Room,Bagnall's and the new Kelso Orvis store may all do a better deal than the Weegistan AC and they are all less than an hour from your front door. Indeed,Berwick must be THE ultimate in "Tackle Tart" addresses with so many quality establishments within a mere spit of the front door. ZH |
