R.I.P. Black Shrimp

Inverness Angling Club announces the passing away of one of the great Ness characters, John Cathcart, inventor of the Black Shrimp.

I have finished reading, On the Beat, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I spent my early years on the "Town Water" and knew many of the characters mentioned in the stories.
Please bear in mind that some of the stories go back to the 60s and 70s when the use of the gaff was still approved and catch and release was never even dreamt of.
