Salmon fishing Ireland ?

Hi everyone

We are thinking of moving to Ireland, but it is very important that I have access to fishing.

Can anyone tell me where I can find general information about salmon fishing in Ireland, what the main rivers are, are the beats mainly private, etc etc etc?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Ireland has plenty of fishing to suite all budgets and preferences, there are also good rivers in most areas so you will probably be spoiled for choice A good place to start would be the Central Fisheries Board web site, it has links to each of the regional fisheries which will give you more details on the rivers in the area(s) you are considering.
