All along the east coast Ive been hearing about the number of sand eels,,,,,could this be the saving grace,, especially for the sea trout which have been rather scarce the last couple of years,,hence the big run of these fish on the tweed and tributaries,,and some very big uns too. I had a look down St Abbs harbor today and sure enough i saw a lot of sand eels, when i say a lot ,i mean A LOT,this is good news, anyone any news on the state of play elsewhere?

The Deveron has had more than its fair share of big sea-trout this season with many around 6lb and fish recorded at 9.5lb and 11 lb. MR Ritchie should have a good week starting Monday.
They also tell me the Mackerel are bigger than usual this year so the feeding seems ok in shore- only where are the salmon - thats a different dilemma .
