I noticed this too when I checked the catch today. Looks like things have started to pick up just in time for my visit to the Dee next week ;D

Up on Birse the week of the 3rd April, things are beggining to look up, as long as the slow snow melt continues I'll be happy.

Sounds like most of the North east rivers are doing well at the moment. iy is refreshing to see people willing to share their knowledge and any catches they hear of.
I hope to join you all in the catching fraternity this season but we will see !

The 88lber was a "typing" error. Park now has the largest fish for yesterday at 18lb. Nice thought though.

Well said WG, Iain Tennant would not dream of fishing if he had guests on.

I spent two enjoyable days with Ian Tennant last april and he is without doubt a top draw gillie and genuine nice bloke. Also turns out his parents were best of friends with my grand parents - small world !
If anyone is fishing with Ian in the future try and get a look at the photo album he keeps in the hut - some amazing photo's in there going back to 'the good old days'.

I see 5 were caught on waterside and Ferrar yesterday. Looking at the catches for the Dee this week, it looks as if the "good old days" may be on there way back!

Just goes to show that even in cold water temps these fish are willing to travel. I'm a bit worried though, Crathes is not doing so well. I'm starting there on Monday. I guess it's the water height.....being above a foot buggers up the top beat. Saying that the bottom pools should still produce. Anyway, just setting off today from France. Fishing The Naver of Saturday and then on to Crathes. Fingers crossed.

I'm getting slightly excited about my week on Crathie in April. 5 at W & F this early in the season is very good news.
