I have just been offered a new 15 ft Grey line rod for £300 quid, sounds like a bargain at half rrp, any opinions?

Soon, if not already, to be replaced as Loop's top range rod - good rod but if you are willing to wait I suspect you will do better than £300 - one on e-bay at present with starting price of £295 - interesting to see if there will be any interest at this price - there are better rods out there, IMO, even at well below £300.

Cheers beaniboy, have let the offer go now anyhow, just could'nt justify another 15ft'er....like the idea of it coming with a spare tip though. ian

I use a Loop greyline 15fter regularly and it is a good rod, with a fairly through action but no tip bounce. There have been a couple of places (john norris was one i think) selling them new at 300 quid. A spare tip is a great idea. They have been superceded by the goran andersson signature as loop's flagship but they are still a good piece of kit.
