I have today heard the sad news of the passing of Bill Birtwistle of Dunsop Trout Hatchery after suffering a massive heart attack this morning. Bill will be sadly missed by all who knew him throughout the fishing community as he stocked trout and smolts throughout the majority of the ribble and hodder as well as many other fisheries in the North West.
