I could have sworn that was the cementers! oh well...... as for fish... havent heard of much.... but tings should improve soon i hope! time will tell......is the bridge Kitty Swansons??? i think the Blair Angliing club have one bank as far as the bridge and Aberothrie have the other bank?? but i've never fished that far down!
As for Coupar Grange..... they always seem to do well..... i'd think they will be getting fifty plus fish a month?? it always seems to do well!
As for the Ericht...i'll give you a shout when they start taking! might be a while mind! John.

Since the river went up the other day Coupar Grange rod have not been doing so well, yesterday lunchtime the water had a strong peat colour to it. BUT the rods I spoke to said that there were a fair amount of fish running up into the Ericht with some bigger summer fish amongst them. When the fish are on the run don't get to thinking they are'nt there. Forty years experience on the Ericht tells me they are there but running hard wi their heids doon. Keep pluggin away lads, They don't all go up the glens, thats for sure.Although there was a net found at the blue brig at the lower end of the glen last friday. The other night there were 183 fish went through the fish counter above town. monday I think..

Hi John, The bridge is kitty swansons & you are correct the club have the right bank down to the bridge. The bridge is not far below the lower car park probably about 1/4 of a mile & most of the pools are better fished off the club bank to be fair, although i don't think they have been fished for a while from that side its a bit overgrown. Kercock, Not so good to hear about the netting but it shows they are getting through. Sometimes you would think they have gotten the bus past you eh? ;D one of the first pools at Grange of Aberbothrie looking down towards kitty swansons bridge which is just out of sight

Your excellent photo shows what used to be some of the best salmon fishing on the Ericht from the right bank, however the owner of the left bank did some "alterations and impro vements" and wrecked that whole stretch ! ! In comparison, it is almost useless. Basically arrogance winning over common sense. C'mon Grant, get on yer soapbox on this issue.

I was unaware of this i have only ever fished it looking like this although it has altered a wee bit this year. Its has not produced any fish for me but i have seen the odd one caught by club members.

fish were running the Ericht last weekend , one fish caught above the bridge in Blair. A small grilse , but if you had caught it in the spring you would have put it back as it looked like a kelt" . thin , all tail and head , very poor condition. has anybody seen this on other rivers in scotland?
