The Teviot is one of the 4 main Tweed tributaries, meeting its parent river at the reknowned Junction pool in Kelso. November means fly-only, probably a sinking line and tubefly of some sort, and definitely 18lb. leader(at least)as you may hook something really big. It is well suited to the fly. In its lower reaches you still may well catch sea-liced belters in November. If you have are not tied down to a weeks' rental of a beat, other local tribs are worth exploring too.. You could quite easily pay £30 and have a brace of hard-fighting silver fish in the teens of lb.'s for a day if luck is on your side. Simple black/yellow or black/orange aluminium 1.5" tubes should suffice 9 times out of 10. titelines!

SSScotty, Returns made, published and actual on the Tweed system are all different. A Levy on Beat Proprietors is charged in relation to their catch return. If owners do not intend to sell up, well, would you ....no won't say it... suffice to say that under-reporting may occur. The Till in November will hold plenty of Fish. But a lot will be well coloured. I did though catch a sea-liced 9lb cock salmon on the Till on Nov 28th 4 years ago. Just don't plan a trip thinking that you will be fishing over restless shoals of fresh-run silver beauties. 1 in 10 may be, you are really looking at c&r fishing, you should get a pull or 2, this River is not a true backend tributary to my knowledge.
