Hi all,
just arrived at Edinburgh airport, awaiting my fishing-buddy for the coming few days...
As mentioned before, the Annan will be fished on Monday and Tuesday. Hoping it's worth the trip....

Good luck Hans.When you reach the footbridge near the top of the beat at Hoddom watch out for the bulls in the field,you will notice a smashed fence right next to it,the gate over the footbridge was locked the day they chased me,my fishing buddy African George had a long drive around looking for me in the dark,I had to cross the river and be picked up on the other side as the bulls were going mental.If you hear a noise that sounds a bit like thunder run like the wind ,go over the fence though not through it.

Best of luck Hans. I'll be following you on The Annan fishing Wednesday through to Saturday , two days on Hoddom and two at Cleughead. The river appears to have had a good rise the last couple of days and no more rain forecast for tomorrow so you'll hopefully get good conditions for the fly. I'll post a report on my return.

Best wishes Hans. Conditions are looking good for your visit. They might even be so good you will have no excuse..... sorry I forgot, we salmon anglers can always come up with an excuse.

I'm sure you will enjoy your trip with or without the bonus of a salmon. Just make sure you leave some for the other members of this forum who are fishing the Annan later.
