Anybody fished the river Girvan? I read an article about it in Trout and Salmon magazine. Looks quite inviting. Wouldn't mind a bash at it with the single hander.

I know somebody who is on a syndicate on the Grivan, but only really fishes it for sea trout. However, he does seem to take a few grilse in the dark.
If you like fishing really small rivers. I'm know that it can be very productive given good conditions, but that is a big gamble.
I have fished the Stinchar with the same guy that fishes the Girvan. It was a few years ago on the Dalreoch Beat, but at £90 for three days it was a bargain. However, sport will be slow unless the water is up a bit.
